How long does a moment last?

As long as breath lingers, as laughter flickers?
As long as a raindrop dances in the sun?
As long as a heart can slip from pain’s embrace?
As long as a mind can reason with the void?

As long as children's laughter sings through daylight?
As long as earth, unshaken, births life from seed?

How long does a moment last?

As long as I am here, trying to outrun the world’s haze?

How long does a moment last?

As long as these very words dissolve into now…

Or does the moment trick me endlessly,
while I, naïve and reckless, chase the nothing?

How long, truly, does a moment last?
In the now, in the forever, in the never—
all at once?

όσο η ανάσα και το γέλιο αχνοφέγγουν?
όσο μια στάλλα της βροχής στον ήλιο στραφτοπαίζει?
όσο αντέχει η καρδιά του πόνου να ξεφεύγει?
όσο αντέχει το μυαλό στην τρέλλα να απαντά?

όσο χαμόγελα παιδιών τις μέρες τιτιβίζουν?
όσο το χώμα το γερό ζωή απο σπόρο αναγεννά?

Πόσο κρατάει μια στιγμή?

όσο ειμαι εδώ και προσπαθώ του κόσμου τη θολούρα να αποφύγω?

Πόσο κρατάει μια στιγμή?

όσο τα λόγια τουτα εδώ στο τώρα να χαθουν....

ή μήπως η στιγμή αέναα με γελάει και γω χαζή και άμυαλη το τιποτα ζητώ?

Πόσο αλήθεια κρατάει η στιγμή? στο τώρα και στο πάντα και στο ποτέ μαζί?

How Long Does a Moment Last?

The morning light spilled into Paraxeno's apartment, illuminating a space filled with canvases, brushes, and the scent of oil and acrylic paint. Christina, known online as Paraxeno, was already up, her hands busy arranging the day's tools. She was a painter, photographer, and crafter, her art a tapestry of mediums woven together with a commitment to social and environmental causes.

Her desk was cluttered with photographs she took during her last visit to the countryside, images that captured the stark beauty of Greece's landscapes threatened by climate change. These would be the basis for her new NFT series, "Voices of the Earth," where each piece told a story of nature's resilience and fragility. 

Her approach to NFTs was unconventional; she didn't use digital tablets or complex software. Instead, she photographed her paintings and crafted pieces, then used basic digital tools to convert them into NFTs on the Tezos blockchain. This choice was not just for artistic integrity but also aligned with her environmental activism, as Tezos was known for its lower energy consumption compared to other blockchains.

The morning passed with Christina mixing paints, her mind floating between the colors of the earth and the harsh realities of her financial situation. NFT sales had been unpredictable, and she often found herself budgeting tightly. Today, she had planned a small gathering at a local community center, where she would display her work not just to sell but to educate about social equity and environmental issues.

As she set up her exhibition, community members trickled in, drawn by the promise of art that spoke to their concerns. Christina explained her process, showing how each photograph or painting was a narrative of the environment's plight and the call for social justice. She spoke passionately about using the proceeds from her NFT sales to fund local initiatives, like community gardens or workshops on sustainable living and healthcare support.

The afternoon was a mix of selling her art and engaging in conversations about activism. She met with a group of like-minded individuals discussing the next steps for their collective, planning to use art as a medium for change. They brainstormed on creating a mural in a public space that would depict the community's vision for a sustainable future, funded partly by NFT sales.

Dinner was a modest affair, shared with friends from the community center who had stayed late to help clean up. They talked about the day's successes and the challenges ahead, the laughter mingling with a shared sense of purpose.

As night fell, Christina returned to her studio, her heart full yet her mind aware of the financial tightrope she walked. She posted images of her day's work on her social media, using hashtags like #ArtForEquity, #EcoArt, and #TezosArt, hoping to attract buyers or at least spread awareness.

Before bed, she sat with her latest creation, a handcrafted piece made from recycled materials, now photographed and ready to be minted as an NFT. It was a symbol of renewal, of art's power to transform and heal. 

Christina, or Paraxeno, knew the journey was tough, with the balancing act of art, activism, and survival. But as she lay down, she felt a sense of peace. Each piece she created was not just for sale; it was a beacon, a call to consciousness, a part of her ongoing narrative to make a difference one canvas, one photo, one image, one crafted piece at a time.

Distant Roads... Different...

You know, roads at night—so empty—speak louder. 

The lights, the letters of the shop signs, the closed windows, the vacant shopfronts that come alive in the darkness, the footsteps that have passed and left their mark upon them... they carry a sweet sorrow, a small rose-thorn... that aches so gently.

People grow silent, waiting. And eyes grow empty when the place is far away… 

Nostalgia and hope, joy and sorrow entwined on the paths of exile.

But you know, the soul is there too—at the street corner, beside the Arabic sign, upon the footprints covered in dust, in the scraps the wind carries away, in the silence of loneliness sleeping beneath a cardboard shelter, within the notes and the thoughts we breathe… in the lines of poetry and the fabric of your dreams.

And somewhere in the stillness, in the quiet hum of the night, there is a presence, a warmth.

 A friend, a voice that lingers like an echo of kindness, a light flickering behind the closed windows, unseen but unwavering. No road is truly empty when footsteps have walked beside yours, when a hand—though distant—has once held yours in understanding.
Everywhere is your place, wherever the soul finds peace. 

And where friendship has touched the earth, no distance, no silence, no exile can ever truly erase it. It is there! Everywhere…

The Abyss Listens
You are made of storms and whispers, of shattered glass catching the moonlight.
You are the scream inside the abyss.
And the abyss listens.
You are the tremor in the earth before the rupture,
the breath held before the cry,
the darkness before the wave rises and devours the horizon.
But the void does not swallow you.
It sings back.
Your body is not a grave; it is a battlefield.
And its soil still grows grass.
Its cracks still bloom with wildflowers.
Its sky still burns gold before sinking into the night.
Even when it trembles, even when it falters, it remembers.
It holds you like an ancestral whisper, like a hymn older than pain itself.
Let the despair pass through you.
Let it carve, let it tear, let it scream.
And then, let it leave.
Because it will leave.
Because even the heaviest night will eventually shatter into dawn.
Even the most lost winds will find something to carry, something to touch.
You are here.
You are still here.
And that alone is already defiance, a miracle,
a war cry and a lullaby at once.
