This Ethiopian Fashion Data Visualisation NFT is part of a limited collection of different 'phygital' formats and visualises current research on fashion related data from Ethiopia: * the location of the large industrial garment production sites in Ethiopia * the current population size of the country (as of June 2023) * the Ethiopian wage level of the garment sector in international comparison This limited edition NFT's explores the potential of data visualisations, phygital fashion products, new forms of education and a knowledge exchange and a collaborative practice between Tech and Fashion on a global scale. Since 2015, the Ethiopian garment industry has developed at a very low wage level for Ethiopian factory workers compared to the global fashion industry. NEW PARAMETERS OF MAKING is focussing on innovative cultural cooperation between Germany (Juliane Kahl & Alexandra Weigand, Ethiopia (Fozia Endrias, Efuye Gela Consultancy PLC) and Nigeria (Yegwa Ukpo) with the aim of knowledge exchange and a joint knowledge production.
