The man walks. He's looking for something. What is it? And will he find it?
Footage fragment of a simple auteur game I was working on back in 2005, made entirely in Blender Game Engine, which was part of Blender up to version 2.79 but was removed later.
Real-time game footage captured with OBS Studio, trimmed to loop in DaVinci Resolve, and then run through an analog video hardware setup, exploring various visual glitch territories. Final results captured from a CRT PVM monitor screen using the Blackmagic Cam iOS app. Footage imported back into the computer and trimmed in Premiere, then exported as an animated GIF, imported and optimized for reduced file size and dithering in Photoshop, using the Save for Web (Legacy) module.
Raw full-frame glitch.
Sansui VX99 + Panasonic AWE5 + Edirol V4 + DIY circuit-bent ACT video processor. Rescan from Sony Trinitron HD 9045Q PVM.
1000 x 750px, 4:3 aspect ratio, 129-frame GIF loop.
Minted for Analog Video Union "INSERT COIN" exhibition.
